Going from light grey (colour 1) to black (colour 8) with tea rose as contrast colour.

3mm in the round, 2.75 mm for hems, and 2.5mm hem linings

Body:

  • 7.5cm per colour block for the body. That also falls in place with the colour change. 30 rows
  • First waist decrease in row 22
  • colour change to tearose at 27cm, 6 rows of tearose * Smallish bust darts
  • Rear shaping Lengthening body by
  • 3.5cm, doing two more sets of increases.
  • Hem: lining on 2.5mm needles, 12 rows in C2, 11 rows on 2.75mm needles in tearose on the outside

Sleeves:

  • 32 rows per stripe, 10 rows of tea rose after colour 6 on sleeve a - 4 rows tearose, 2 rows C1, 4 rows tearose on sleeve b
  • pick up 25 stitches and decrease to 21
  • First decrease in row 22
  • Lengthened sleeves by 2cm

  • Until and including step 9: used 57g equivalent to MC
  • Body: used 123g equivalent to MC, 60g equivalent to CC (lengthened by 3.5cm)

  • Sleeves (2): used 71g MC equivalent, and 32g CC equivalent
  • Sleeve hems (2): used 6g of CC equivalent, and 6g of CC2 equivalent
  • Collar: used 4g
