Notes

Mods (in 3 month size)

  • Skipped ribbing. Provisional cast-on 47 sts (5 of these will be for one side of button band).

  • Knitted cast-on 5 sts (other side of button band), then knit across 47 sts from provisional cast-on. Follow pattern for body, but work first and last 5 stitches in seed stitch.

  • While working body, add buttonholes on the 6th row of every MC stripe (in seed stitch- work 2 sts, yo, k2tog, work 2 sts)

  • Stripe sequence: 6 rows MC, 2 rows CC

  • Sleeve decreases: decrease 2 sts on the 6th row of every MC stripe, 3 times (28 sts left). Example: k1, k2tog, knit to last 3 sts, ssk, k1. Knit evenly to the proper length.

  • Hood: Pick up the 47 sts from cast-on. Working in seed stitch for first and last 5 stitches and st st in between, knit 40 rows (ending on a MC row 6). Decrease row (CC Row 1): Work 23 sts, k2tog, work 22 sts (46 sts left)

  • Fold hood in half with right sides together (23 sts on each needle). Work a 3 needle bind off. You could also graft the two sides, or use a traditional bind off and sew together with a needle.
