The Ginkgo Shawl above the register at “The Salty Sheep” yarn shop caught my eye. My favorite shape for a shawl is crescent shape so this pattern together with some scrumptious yarn made for the perfect souvenir from Swansboro.
March 9: Only one week of knitting and I am ready to start with the leaf and lace border. So far the pattern was simple and repetitive with just enough interest to not make it boring.
March 19: I did not work on this every day, but finished today; it came out beautifully! See my blog entry about how much using a good pointy lace needle helped me finish it with more ease.
