Notes

6/19 - I usually do not like to knit on multiple projects simultaneously, but I needed a simple project for an upcoming road trip and decided to make a small colorful shawl with some leftover sock yarn. The skein is a 100g skein, but I guess after weighing it, I have about 85g left. I can do a small scarf with this and I may do a straight middle part without an increase to get a more narrow result. Unfortunately I do not have a digital scale, so I have to eyeball it. Hmmmm….

7/15 - I increased up to the 14th purl stitch and knit straight on. To avoid the possibility of running out of yarn, as I do not have an exact way of weighing the skein, I started the same project from the opposite end of the yarn (pulled from inside the skein) and knit the increase section only. I let it rest on the end of my skein and knit my main piece up to that section. now I had exactly the amount of yarn that I needed for the decrease section. It worked fabulously.

Shawl is blocked and measures about 80 inches (200cm) end to end and is 12 inches (30cm)at its widest part.
It is a great pattern for a 100g sock yarn.
