I have finally finished this shawl/vest, which I started a year ago. It took me longer, as I was knitting this on the side while working other projects and also because I was trying to take notes to write down the pattern. See the link to the free pattern above.
The yarn is a 4-ply sockyarn and perfect for a shawl.
The pattern seemed so easy to me, because I had the idea in my head, writing it down is a complete different story.
I made some changes from the original pattern for my shawl/vest: (1) whimsical placement of a few seedstitch squares, (2) seedstitch border around the armholes.
The shawl/vest grew to an extra-large size which I love as I like to be wrapped in warm knitting on cool evenings. I love the results and hope other knitters will enjoy the pattern.
