Notes

I loved Lucy Attic24’s Neat Ripple Pattern so much that I’ve started my third ripple. The first one, Cotton Candy, I gave to my niece for her birthday. The 2nd one I’m working on, Easter Basket, will be a gift my my other niece’s baby due in May. This one, Spring Time, is for me! I’m using the same left over yarn colors that I used in Cotton Candy but in a different color order.

I had a request for a description of my border edging. I’m new to writing out directions (sorry if not clear) but this is pretty close to what I did. You can look at the photo to see the border and corners for reference.

The edging:

Begin two sts to left of corner st.

1st row: Chain one, “asterisk” single crochet in each stitch to corner, then two single crochet in corner stitch, rep from “asterisk” around, join with slip st. (blue)
2nd row: Chain one, “asterisk” single crochet in each stitch to corner, then two single crochet in corner stitch, rep from “asterisk” around, join with slip st. (blue)
3rd row: Chain one, “asterisk” single crochet in each stitch to corner, then two single crochet in corner stitch, rep from “asterisk” around, join with slip st. (white) ;
4th row: Chain two, “asterisk” double crochet in each stitch to corner, then three double crochet in corner stitch, rep from “asterisk” around, join with slip st. (green);
5th row: Chain two, “asterisk” double crochet in each stitch to corner, then three double crochet in corner stitch, rep from “asterisk” around, join with slip st. (light pink);
6th row: Chain two, “asterisk” double crochet in each stitch to corner, then four double crochet in corner stitch, rep from “asterisk” around, join with slip st.(rose);
7th row: Chain two, “asterisk” double crochet in each stitch to corner, then six double crochet in corner stitch, rep from “asterisk” around, join with slip st. (yellow);
8th row: Chain two, “asterisk” single crochet in each stitch to corner, then four single crochet in corner stitch, rep from “asterisk” around, join with slip st. (purple);
9th row: Chain two, “asterisk” single crochet in each stitch to corner, then four single crochet in corner stitch, rep from “asterisk” around, join with slip st. (aqua);
10th row: ch 1, skip 1st st, “asterisk” single crochet in next stitch, ch 1, skp 1 st to corner, seven single crochets in corner stitch “asterisk” around, join with slip st. (rose);
11th row: Chain 1, “asterisk” single crochet in space, ch 1 to corner, then for corner single crochet in each double crochet stitch of corner, rep from “asterisk” around, join with slip st. (light pink);
12th row: Chain 1, “asterisk” single crochet in space, ch 1 to corner, then for corner chain five, skip next three stitches, single crochet next stitch, skip next three stitches , single crochet next stitch “asterisk” around, join with slip st. (blue).

Note: For some reason the asterisk key smbol will not print out on this note so I substituted the word “asterisk” for the asterisk key symbol.
