Notes

Gauge was spot on with the book to where I could add an entire pattern repeat and get the circumference necessary to make these socks fit for my husband without having to go up a size in needles or weight in yarn: Cast on 70. Divided stitches over four needles 18-17-18-17. Decreased one stitch on needles 1 and 3 on final round repeat before working the heel and stockinette foot.

The pattern is great! Believe it or not the pattern was easy to memorize and execute. It have no complaints about the pattern.

My hubs picked out the yarn and the pattern, even though I forewarned him that the texture wouldn’t be as visible with the patterned yarn. He didn’t care. Looking at the socks he says they look like camouflage and since the pattern is called Samurai he says they’re his ninja socks… It’s ironic because Judy Sumner has a pattern in the book called Ninja.
