Finished Blocked Size: 54” wide x 38 1/2” long

I’m stash busting this month and I’ve always loved this pattern and my stash of Thistle. I want a really fall looking shawl that is cozy warm and have opted to use my stash of 100% Alpaca from Blue Moon Ranch as the borer.

9/15 Casted on this evening and I’ve completed one full repeat. I really like the stitch pattern!

9/16 Three full repeats of been completed. This is a super quick knit and an easy pattern to memorize :)

9/17 Another three full repeats completed

9/24 I only have one more repeat to go and then I’ll be starting the border.

9/25 Since I only have enough yardage for the body of the shawl, and because I felt I would run out before finishing, I’ve decided to only knit 8 rows of the repeat for the last part of the shawl and have started the garter stitch top.

Note: Ended with 163 stitches of the lace pattern, ending with row 8 of the pattern repeat.

Update: I’ve worked 6 rows of the end pattern and have decided to work 2 rows of the Chocolate Brown Alpaca (Blue Moon Ranch) and the will bind off.

9/26 I guess sick days are good for knitting as I’ve made great progress! I’m almost done with the edging and love the look so far.

10/2 I’m just about finished!!! Only five more repeats to go on the lace edge and I’ll be done.

Update: all done and now blocking! I was worried that the color of the brown would not show off the lace stitch well, but I’m quite happy at the end result !
