I’m participating in the Madelinetosh Lovers May Kal for Vodka Lemonade. I’m happy to finally use my lovely stash of MadTosh!

This KAL starts May 1st and ends May 31st!

5/1 Casted on 106 sts and working on the color. I really love how the colors of the yarn look ~ I think this was a good choice for this project.

5/4 Still working on the collar and have about 2” to go!

5/6 Collar is done, now on to the sleeves.

Photo: You can really see the progress of the cardi to well, but it’s coming along nicely and shown in the top left of my photo posted on my blog for Wednesday’s Yarn Along.

5/20 I got quite a bit of knitting done this weekend while traveling to visit my folks. Ilove easy knitting while in the car! I’m at 234 sts and need 128 sts before I can separate the sleeves. Back to my knitting!

7/25 Wow, it’s been over two months since I’ve worked on this cardigan! I picked it back up this evening and have 14 more rows to go before I can separate the sleeves.

7/31 Hurray, I’m coming to a end on the increases - only 4 more rows and I separate those sleeves!

8/1 The sleeves have been separated and I’m now working on the body! The photo is from my blog for the Wednesday Yarn Along.

Modfication: I added two extra stitches at the under arm area for a bit more room for a total of 4 sts.

8/11 I’ve managed another 3” of length - coming along slowly but surely.

8/21 Still working on this but I have managed to knit quite a bit in length. I tried it on last night and it’s looking good. I have about 6 more inches to go before I start the lace insert. I’ve decided to knit this cardi just a bit longer.

8/22 One more inch to go and I start the lace insert ~ hurray!!!

8/28 I’ve modified the lace insert so that they are a bit staggered on each side of the front. I’ve also omitted the lace insert for the back. I’m got three more rows to go and then I start the seed stitch, then bind off. I’m getting excited that the end is near !

8/29 I’ve finished the body of the cardigan and will be starting the sleeves today. My last skein of Badlands is a bit darker, which worries me a bit. Fingers crossed it will look ok.

8/30 I have been working on my right sleeve and so far the yarn color is working out ok. I’ve decided to only make the sleeves elbow length.

9/2 I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m finally finished. I decided upon short sleeves and I love it. Photo to come very soon :)
