Lots of tiny mistakes but still happy with the results.
First time doing any kind of color work, appliqué on a knit, and adding a fabric backing.

Learned that when adding fabric backing to allow more allowance on the fabric size because the knit does stretch when sewing. I put right sides together and sewed around the edge and then flipped it right side out and top stitched around the edge. I like the way it covers the color work on the back since there is clearly a wrong side.

Opted for a foxy rather than a rabbit. I found a fox silhouette online I liked and used that. My orange piece didn’t felt so great even after trying for over an hour. It started to fray. I then added some embroidery on the fox to it was clearly a fox and not a cat (my 1.5 year old is still calling it a cat). I then used my sewing machine to sew it on. Went smoother than I imagined it would but still hard with the fraying. I think the fox has a folk art/primitive art look to it that we will just call intentional at this point.

It isn’t very large but will be a good stroller/carseat blanket or lovie.
