Notes

10-2-2015: 1182 squares (75%).

1-10-2015: 790 squares done--just over 50%.

3-27-2014: 631 squares (40% done).

12-30-2013: 590 squares (37% of large size)

8-31-2013: Two years in with 449 squares completed (29% of the larger size, 34% of the smaller size).

6-24-2013: 367 squares completed. I think I’m adding to my sock yarn scrap stash faster than I’m knitting it.

6-3-2013: In order to finish with even repeats of the pattern of larger squares, I will probably finish after row 57 (70” long, 1340 squares) or row 67 (82.5” long, 1575 squares). I guess I’ll just see how I feel when I come to it.

6-1-2013: 344 squares done. About 25%.

4-25-2013: 302 squares. Over 20% done. At this rate, it should be done within 10 years!

1-13-2013: 215 squares. Possible finished size of 1387 squares if I do 30 long rows.

11-8-2012: 147 squares completed.

10-26-2012: Took a break from this project for nearly 9 months but I’m back at it and having fun again.

2-1-12: 23 more; 52 in 2012 and 124 total.

1-15-12: 29 squares completed in 2012; 101 total.

12-31-11: 72 squares completed as of the end of 2011.

12-1-11: It’s been a while since my last update here but I have made progress on the blanket. I finished the first two rows--the bottom row is 24 squares across. I’ve moved on to the third and fourth rows and am adding large squares, but not randomly. I also completed the I-cord border along the bottom, which eliminated the hanging threads from the provisional cast ons, which were really getting on my nerves.

9-3-11: 13 squares done, if the big one counts for 4. Still having fun with it. Burning through my sock yarn scraps pretty fast.

8-27-11: I finally did it--I started this blanket, which I’ve had my eye on for quite some time now. Three squares in and having lots of fun. Thinking of making it large enough for a queen sized bed. By my calculations, this will require 2,111 squares. Not going to calculate what that much sock yarn is going to cost. At least some of it will be leftovers.
