Notes

I fell in love with a gorgeous painted tencel warp called “Dazzling” from Carr Park Artisans (400 ends / 8 yards). The colours flow beautifully from one to another (see pictures) and so it was a challenge to find a draft that would flow as well. I added black and gold borders and used black as my weft colour. I tried to find another unifying colour but it was beyond my stash capabilities!

Finally I threaded an 8 shaft point twill and for the second shawl on this warp, I chose an advancing twill progression (Wall of Troy style). It resembled raindrops on a window pane to me. I decided to let my Megado keep track of the treadling so I could watch the colours change smiley

I got two shawls (first shawl is a separate project) plus a bonus table runner (19” x 30” also shown here as its the same pattern )
