Explanation of how project fits the prompt:
Esteemed professors,

For my Arithmancy homework this month I have chosen to feature the color orange in my project. This yarn is a gradient that changes from a deep blood orange to a light cantelope. I have decided to retain this beautiful ombre effect by creating a pattern that utilizes planned pooling and I am keeping my interest with a simple lace pattern.

This lace pattern also represents our study of the number 2 as it is a multiple of 4 sts and 4 rows, but the 4 sts are broken up into groups of 2 to create the pattern: 2 decreases followed by 2 increases repeated around. The number 2 again appears in the rows as there are 2 active rows and 2 rest rows in each 4 row repeat.

Unfortunately, I was unable to complete my project by month’s end and will be submitting this for partial credit. I hope that you find my assignment otherwise satisfactory. Thank you for your time and attention,
