This is the May 2017 Pattern from Club Yumi and the first pattern in the Glorious Gradients Trio!

Late Spring and Early Summer bring trips to the park, outdoor walks and other adventures where a lightweight, easy care scarf comes in very handy. Springtime Flow came about as a way to fill this need while still looking lovely. The beautiful and subtle gradients from ModeKnit Yarn combine with fields of stockinette and the daisy stitch to produce a drapey fabric that resembles close-ups of hydrangeas and lilacs.

Explanation of how project fits the prompt:
Dear professors,

I am so thrilled to hear of the new Wellness program that Hogwarts is initiating! (Even if these chairs are rather odd…) As my homework for potions this month I have crafted a summery scarf that brings me joy and lights up my day. It inspires me to go out for walks even if the breeze is a bit brisk and it’s crafted with my favorite linen yarn in colors that I hand-picked to represent spring & summer flowers.

The stitch pattern that I chose is simple enough that I wasn’t pattern-bound, but challenging enough to keep me engaged and itching to just get to that next row. I am so thoroughly pleased with how this project turned-out and I love having this scarf to toss around my shoulders when I go out on the grounds. This project definitely gives me life and brightens my days. (The washability of the linen doesn’t hurt, either!)
