This cardigan is adorable but I never wear it because it doesn’t look good unbuttoned and I almost always wear my cardigans unbuttoned. I think this is because the yarn I used is drapey and flops around when the cardigan is unbuttoned. If the neckline were higher and closer fitting it might not be a such a problem.

I had issues with the button band gaping so I added snaps in between the buttons.

This cardigan was a lot of fun to knit. There was enough going on with the ribbing and the lace patterns to keep it interesting, but it wasn’t overwhelming or confusing. It was like a good book that you can’t put down…Except for when I put it down to practice using DPNs before I started on the sleeves and then got distracted with another cardigan and a bunch of hats.

The pattern is well-written and Andi is so sweet and very helpful; I messaged her with a question and she responded pretty much immediately.

I used seven 5/8” buttons from lotsofbuttons.com. I love them and I think they are perfect for this cardigan.
