Gave up on the toe up for now. Packed the Skyp socks that were over half done so casting on this simple cuff-down sock with the yarn I was going to use for Swirl socks (FOUR times I ripped and redid and FOUR times my pattern was off).

Whatever.

Need an ego booster and this should do it. =)

Ankle socks- 13 rows K1P1 then about 9 rows pattern before separating for heel flap. There is enough yarn leftover for at least one more complete sock.

note: had a couple little ‘holes’ at corners of heel flaps and insteps and used a loop of yarn to close those up then wove in tails clear up to cuff to hide the fix- after blocking it’s extremely difficult to find those spots!

GREAT yarn to hide my ‘WHOOPS!’ like that! (and it’s superwash- double thumbs up for that)
