Notes

My yarn was more worsted/aran than bulky so I graded the pattern up one more step on the fly:

  • Cast on 122
  • Garter decreases down to 96
  • Crown decreases starting with (k10, k2tog) etc etc
  • A few extra rows length in each section

I used size 8 needles for the ribbing and 7 for the garter/stockinette parts and ended up with a large adult size which is perfect. And I made pom poms instead of tassels. I just like POMS.

Oh, and I made a little loop and button closure (hidden under the poms) to join the flaps under my chin in cold weather. I don’t know if I will because it looks pretty silly (and, er, chinballs) but I can :)
