Notes

Very plain hat, letting the handspun yarn speak for itself.

I am alternating ends of the ball every 3 rows - it’s not really visible as ‘stripes’ but there is more blending and evening of the colours.

  • Provisional cast on 100st
  • 10 rows 3x1 ribbing
  • Stockinette for… some time
  • For the decreases, I divided the stitches into 6 sections and k2tog the first two stitches of each section, on every second round
  • Removed the provisional cast on and bound off with (k2tog, slip back to left needle) worked on the wrong side
  • BIG POM

The pom might actually be too large, I just used all my spare yarn… if it drags on the hat too much I’ll snip it down smaller. Topiary!

Oh, and I do the provisional cast on thing because I generally like the look of bind offs more than cast ons…
