The second lace shawl I knit. No, I’m still not wearing accessories ;) I was sent this pattern by the designer, who is a pal of mine, and it was so beautiful I decided I’d just knit it anyway.

I only ended up following the two main charts, mainly because I was worrying about whether I’d have enough to finish the shaped border, which is done in several pieces so running out of yarn would not be fudge-able!

Instead, I improvised, turning the last part-row of diamonds into garter stitch then a few gently scalloped garter rows all along the edge.

Loving the result, even just as something nice to bring out and look at every now and then. Who knows, maybe one day I will wear it!
