My usual personal sock numbers knit up in plain stockinette with:

• spiral toe
• small under-foot gusset
• Sweet Tomato Heel
• 2x2 ribbing
• Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off (worked from the inside)

I did some colour micromanagement of my handspun yarn, and made the socks basically as tall as I could given that I was removing sections of yarn here and there.
