My first try at mosaic knitting! It was slow going (I’d say twice as long as usual for a hat of this weight) but was fun to try a new technique.

I knit as to pattern, other than:

• Skipping the rib parts of the brim on one row - just slipping those stitches and knitting the garter parts - to make the edge a little more even, as the row gauge is very different and it scallops otherwise.
• Only five repeats of the main chart (not to give away details of a paid pattern, but it specifies quite a bit more than that!) before starting the decrease chart. It’s still a tiny touch longer than it needed to be.

Really pleased with the result, I hope my mum likes it!

I also really enjoyed the Chickadee yarn, this was my first time knitting with anything from Quince & Co and I liked it a lot so I’ll definitely keep it in mind for future sport weight projects.
