Frogged 2019 - nothing wrong with the cardigan, it just didn’t fit any more and and I wanted to use the yarn again!

Please excuse the terrible photos. I’ve tried to photograph this cardigan several times and always fail horribly - finally got these shots when I’d been wearing it for months, so definitely not fresh and new. At least I can confirm it’s wearing well and I’m enjoying it?!

First handspun garment, woo :)

I knitted the 50” numbers but because of gauge differences it’s around 46” finished.

Pattern followed exactly to the underarm split, then I branched off and did my usual A-line shaping and made the sleeves my preferred length.

I did the hem and cuffs as 2x1 ribbing, not super keen on garter edges.

The single button pulled the fronts weirdly so I added a second hidden button for support (sewn onto the inside, about 1” back from the buttonhole - it just buttons into a yo on the edge of the button side).

If knitting this again I would probably make the buttonhole just a few rows lower, but it’s no big deal, still looks fine!
