Notes

13 May (Country Sage Ombre)
Started with ch35. Though all signs (or at least the pizza in my oven) point to this being a perfect size, the next time I’ll probably increase the starting ch by 5 to make it just a hint larger.

1 Jul (Country Red, Country Green, Cream)
Making a second one, this time with ch45. Mental note: Looks best if sc into back loop then top loops of chs.

2 Jul
Done with the second one - I like the stripes, though it doesn’t seem quite perfectly square. Oh well. I like the fact that it is reversible. Such an easy potholder! (Though I noticed in the photo that I missed a stitch when sewing it closed… so that’s fixed now.)

…..I’m keeping these under the same project so I don’t end up with half a dozen magic potholders running around on my project page……

23 Feb 2012 (Yellow, Cream)
My kitty passed away yesterday. I need some mindless crafting today and my mom really liked my potholders last time she was here. So making a yellow one for her. Ch40. Oops, ran out of yellow. Thus stripe.

24 Feb (Barnboard Twists)
While the yellow and cream potholder is blocking, I decided I wanted to try to knit one of these. Using 4.00 needles (since it corresponds to a G hook), I used Judy's magic cast on (first time using it - very easy!), CO80, kfb in two stitches at each end of first round. Knit until it was half as high as it was wide and used the kitchener stitch to close it up.
