I need more uncomplicated crafting so I thought I’d go for this project. I picked the thread because the colors remind me of my kitty who passed away a week ago tomorrow - blue eyes, cream fur, gray points.

It’s been so long since I’ve crocheted that I’ve forgotten how much I hate the chains at the beginning of the round and what I did to hide them….
…. ah, here we go, this is what I did (starts at 2:13). Much better. Starting over so they are all hidden!

I added an extra round of ch6 sc before doing the final picot edging. Surprisingly I used only half of the ball of thread even though the pattern information here on Ravelry says it should use almost all of it (90-some yards of the 100-some). Instead, I could make two.

I think I’ll just block this one instead and do something else with the remaining.
