This delightful yarn is giving me larger-than-normal gauge. I think to compensate for that, I’m doing 62 sts on US0.

Okay, in anticipation of doing the Diamondback socks, I knit these heels without turning. Knitting backwards is a bit awkward feeling but I think I’m getting the hang of it.

I really should have added a gusset because the slip stitch pattern makes it just a tad less stretchy than regular stockinette and I can usually get by without a gusset in stockinette, it would hurt to add one either. Since I didn’t want to rip that far back, I just switched to US1 immediately after the heel. Hopefully that will work.

And it worked! The socks are wonderful! Even though it played fits with my gauge, I quite like this yarn. It’s so sproingy and soft and lovely. Yay for my little cupcake socks!
