Notes

2010/05/02 Just cast this on today. I had lots of knitting time, and made very good progress, now ready for the arm shapings. I’m making this sweater a little shorter (one inch) than in the pattern as I’m worried I don’t have quite enough yarn, and I’m short. Hopefully it will all work out. Looks like this will be a fairly quick knit. This will be the first sweater I’ve knit in some time that requires seaming, and I’m a little fearful of the set in sleeves. Hopefully all will go well!

2010/05/25 Done and seamed, and the set in sleeves weren’t bad at all, so fear conquered. Now I won’t be scared to knit sweaters with such sleeves!

Mods: as I’m short I decreased the body before the ribbing by an inch. I increased the body to the arm shaping so that the ribbing wouldn’t fall across my bust. I approximated by holding it up to me, which was about 14 1/2 inches. I knit the sleeves about 1 1/2 inches longer than called for in the pattern. Probably took about 7 balls of Rowan All Seasons Cotton, although I did go into the last ball to avoid extra ends to weave in.
