Notes

A big, warm, cozy lace shawl to keep you warm during the cold winter months! Knit in sport weight yarn, it works up quickly.

Yarn/Yardage: 635 yards/580 m sport weight wool or a wool blend. Sample was knit with two skeins of Anzula Ava.

Needles: US5 for the solid/texture section, US6 for the lace.

Measurements after blocking: 64 inches/163 cm wide across top edge and 29 inches/74 cm long at center spine.

Stitch patterns are provided in charts only.

The shawl takes its name from the second verse of Woody Guthrie’s “This Land Is Your Land.”

“As I was walking that ribbon of highway,
I saw above me that endless skyway:
I saw below me that golden valley:
This land was made for you and me.”
