Work very similar to the other ones I knit:

Owls: 34
Stitches before increases: 276 (138 on each side of marker)
Stitches after increases: 412 (408 + 4 edge stitches)
Beads: 68 6/0 Czech glass beads

I wanted to continue the look of the edge stitches into the owl section of the scarf, so keeping the (K2, yo) on every row of each edge. I eliminated the kfb on the cable & next row. The yo at the beginning of each row are the only increases in the owls section. In the owl section I placed markers every 12 stitches to indicate the 12 stitch repeat. So it looks like this: k2, yo, knit to first marker (indicating first owl repeat), do all owl repeats, knit stitches in last section to last 2 stitches, yo, knit last 2 stitches.

Instead of using a crochet hook, I just threaded all the beads directly onto the yarn & will just drop them into the proper place as I get to it while knitting (See photos). Less work & quicker to knit. Each owl repeat went: k4, P3, place a bead, P2, place a bead, P3

Eliminated row 19 because I was running out of yarn. Did row 18 (purl row) & the did the bind off on the next row. I had very little yarn left over (see photo)
