Purchased these yarns from Sweitzer’s Fiber Mill at Rheinbeck 2017. I’m not sure what the weight is… somewhere between DK & worsted … I think. Neither yarn is in the database. Photos of labels added.

The green label says:
Sweitzer’s Fiber Mill
Wool, 170 yards

The blue multi label says:
Harvest Yarns Soybean
67% Merino 33% Soybean, 170 yards

Modifications to turn this hat pattern into a Cowl:

Cast on 78 (add multiples of 3 to make larger or smaller) I wanted a close to the neck Cowl.

Knit rib (rounds 1-6) on smaller needles

Knit round 7 (changing to larger needle)

Knit Cowl section repeating rounds 8-11 until desired length

Knit 1 round with A (still with larger needle)

Switch to smaller needle for next rib section.

Knit 6 rounds of rib to match beginning rib section
Cast off loosely

Yarn was not as soft as what I’m used to working with. It did soften up a bit after washing but still has a bit of scratchy-ness to it.
