Both yarns are slightly thinner than the yarn suggested, but I was aiming for toddler size, to fit my 2 year old daughter.

I CO 96 sts.

The measurements are (lying flat):
Brim width: 14 cm. Brim length (unfolded): 10cm.
Crown width: 24 cm. Crown length (measured from the brim to the decrease rounds): 14 cm.

Her head circumference is 47 cm.
The hat size is quite forgiving, the brim is stretchy and the top can have some ease.

The achieved gage:
4.5mm needle/sock&mohair/stockinette: 22sts/10cm.
4mm needle/sock held double/rib: 34sts/10cm.

If you need to adjust the size, I’d suggest the following method. Measure the head circumference, add 1-2cm ease and attempt this size with the larger needle in stockinette stitch. The number of stitches in stockinette will be the same with the brim in the ribbing, just with smaller needle.
