Well - I didn’t make it in time for the Ravelympics but I’m getting there. I improvised some Hulk hair for him and I’ve got 6 tentacles finished. 2 legs to go, some sewing, and a face. I’ve also got to stuff the tentacles.

Day 0
Hulktopus will need a wig so that he looks like the real Hulk… and ANGRY teeth - of course. Not sure about the ripped purple pants (or jeans). I think I might skip those.

Inspired to make an octopus with personality by boojum’s supergroup of octopi.

Day 1
I practiced chaining and single crochet. I tried to start the pattern (single crochet 8 into the same stich?) but I think I need more practice.

Day 4
Still practicing my chaining and single crochet. I’m starting the pattern soon.

Using this Magic Circle tutorial to get started because I’m not having any luck with the pattern’s method for the tip top.

Day 10
Getting the hang of it! I’ve got another 10 rounds or so left before I finish the Octopus body and move on to the tentacles. Slow going since I can’t actually watch the Olympics and hook at the same time :)

Day 12
The body is done and stuffed. I made a blob!
