Notes

I love the look of this vest, but had a problem with the pattern. I found the collar instructions wonky. The neck shaping is done in short rows, but the stitches are not wrapped, resulting in big holes when working the collar. I ended up picking up the stitch underneath the “holey” stitch to close the gap, which fixed the problem quite well.

I wanted more of an a-line silhouette, so I didn’t do the waist-shaping. And I only did buttons at the top. Other than that, I followed the pattern as written.

The yarn exceeded my expectations. I’ve long admired the stunning colours and luxe hand of Terra, but worried about how “floppy” it was in the skein. But knit up, it has both body and drape. I’ve worn the vest several times with no sign of piling or wear. And it’s so cushy and comforting. LOVE.
