Notes

Three pairs of fingerless mitts and a headband!
I’ve given you all the information you need for all four patterns.

I used worsted weight (4) yarn for all the projects and added some pretty iron on appliques.

The appliques were so easy and fast to do I couldn’t believe it! I give you the instructions for that as well. They don’t distort the shape or function at all. You can certainly omit the appliques and use store bought felt pieces or embroider right on the mitts and headband.

Second photo (purple & lime):
Knit some pretty, heirloom mitts reminiscent of a bygone era in modern colors. Then iron on an applique to make them extra special. A frilly, crocheted edge adds a touch of femininity.

Little buttons allow the wearer to adjust the size that’s just right for them. No buttonholes, just push them through the seed stitch fabric. Easy, peasy!

Third photo (pink & cream):
Because you still need mitts in the spring and summer months. Perfect for the too cold air conditioned offices, breezy lakeside sitting or evening strolls in the park.
The delicate applique adds a unique touch of feminine flair!

Fourth photo (brown & lime):
Frilly and truly fingerless…no thumb or slit! I like to wear this style with gloves when I’m driving as my coat sleeves always ride up my arm in the car.
Feminine ruffles in a puff stitch and interest as does the iron on applique.

Headband (black & white):
An easy checkerboard headband goes from ordinary to fab with an iron on applique. Change up the colors to coordinate with any of the fingerless mitts.
