Wow, amazing construction to this shawl with a succession of crescents evocative of waves lapping on a shore… really beautiful!

Mods: two colours; and finer needles/tighter gauge for a smaller shawl. I have missed out crescents 5, 8, 9 and 10 on Emily’s suggestion (yardage concerns): the pattern works perfectly if you simply omit these… not quite so many waves lapping though!

Yarn: two very different yarn types together: an alpaca/wool blend and a Shetland wool… quite different in texture, but I’m hoping they’ll work OK together (I’ve spit-spliced all the colour changes btw).

Blocking/size: my shawl has blocked into a crescent shape overall, and is 18” deep by 60” at its widest point.
