Cast on - long tail + german twisted (2 x 2) to prepare for ribbing.

Cast off - Jeny’s super stretchy bind-off.

I put the thumb gusset stitches onto waste yarn and then did a provisional cast on with the waste yarn for the two purl stitches that are added behind the thumb. I removed the waste yarn and knit around the thumb (knitting up from the provisional cast-on instead of picking up two stitches).

I started the decrease rows at the top of the hand after 1.5” instead of the 2.75 called for in the pattern.
