Made a 300 chain long starting chain (that’s multiples of 7 minus 1).

I tried using 210 stitches but with this yarn and hook it was a bit short and after weighing my sample I realised I would have enough wool to make it longer. I do think it works better using a chain one short of a multiple of seven.

It’s a bit fiddly to keep the starting chain untwisted but it really doesn’t matter. Just make sure your stitches are not twisted when you come to join them at the beginning. In other words, the initial chain can have twists, but the first row of stitches and chains shouldn’t.

I made about 23 rounds and had some yarn left over - probably not enough for another round.

This was a great pattern to make and I really enjoyed it.

I love this yarn - it’s so smooth and easy to work with and to frog! It’s nice and soft too.
