Hello Yarn Rambouillet in Rustling scales
Separated in cold and warm colours, spun in a fingering weight two ply
Knit in a personal interpretation of a few patterns I liked
The fabric is absolutely amazing, and the resulting object is a beautiful interpretation of what the yarn whispered in my mind, but I am not sure I will wear it. It is more an art object in my eyes.
I wish I could find a way to maybe show and sell my handspun and handknit to fiber art lovers. sigh
I do not plan to publish a pattern for this shawl.
There are a couple of patterns very similar to this one. If you want, you can try with Whippoorwill.
I started with a partial Pi shawl from Elizabeth Zimmermann, starting with 3 stitches in the center of my shawl and 3 garder stitsches on each side (after my usual personal beginning for a perfect top-down inside-out shawl) and adding a stitch at each end of the row every right side rows.
Then I knit the green yarn with a series of variation of the Feather and Fan stitch pattern to transition to more and more texture.
estimate meterage - needs to weight the thing when it’s dry. have a small ball of leftovers.
