Also, I washed it twice, because my shawl was noticeably itchier than my swatch. Now the hand is still not buttersoft, but it does not itch at all.

39 sts : 12 rows -> yo k2tog after 6 rows.

79 sts : 24 rows - Spider Stitch, 2nd TKP p. 268 (multiple of 6 plus one, repeat of 12 rows. perfect!)

January 29 : stopped at row 12 of SW, SWaD pattern.

Enlarged slightly the Pointed Chevron pattern in 2nd ToKP -> 6x 16 rows repeats / 26x 12 sts = 312 sts plus border.

February 17th : finished the last patterned section.
I am going to try a very simple 6 sts garder stitch edging. If it works I should finish it quickly. Diameter should be close to 60’’. No idea if it’s going to be nice to wear or not.
