Notes

I had to go down to needle size 2.5mm to get a better gauge (26 x 36), and also to get a fabric that isn’t too see-through. But even with smaller needles, I had problems with the sizing, and ripped back size 33¾ because it was huge (see photo). The smallest size instead, fits me well (I’m 34”). The body fabric is still fairly transparent (the bra shows through), which may be also due to the dark colorway I chose.

The pattern (both charted and written out) and the design are beautiful. It’s a project that takes some time, as the lace portion is sizable and the finishing is lengthy, but the result is worth it.

The yarn is very interesting to work with, feels rather ropey at first, and the color is gorgeous. However, given that I dislike see-through fabric for a camisole, I wonder whether cotton - a softer fiber that ‘fills’ the stitches more - wouldn’t be a better choice for this pattern.

Mods: I raised the back by about one inch.
