I knit this in 3 days on size 9 needles. The entire time I thought about my future wonderful, squishy, rustic, tweedy, dense, cuddly shawl.

And then I blocked it. Or, more accurately, overblocked it. And it turned into a lacy, airy, lifeless, giant mess. I tried to deblock it, but it was too late. It wasn’t technically bad, but it was neither squishy nor dense.

So I ripped it all out and started again. No really! That’s how much I enjoyed the pattern.

I went down 2 needle sizes. And 3 more days later, when it came time to block I blocked gently. Mostly.

(This would be a great place to record the measurements. 52”-54” wide post blocking?? I should double check that.)

And then after taking most of the FO pics (dressform) I decided to try pointifying my points. So I steam blocked it a bit, took some more pics (windowsill) and NOW I think I should call it a day. A happy day!
