After three or four false starts, I think this wool will be happy to be a crescent shawl - the colours are working nicely! Made with increases at each end (rather than short rows, which I don’t think will work with the colour changes).
Will probably use Old Shale for the lace border….

The shawl - shawlette - is 74 inches long and 20 inches deep at the deepest point, which will come in the middle of the back.

DH’s cousin saw this and liked it so it’s hers now! :)
