Cast on. My gauge with my preferred stash yarn was 25 stiches to 4 inches, rather than the 22 called for. I calculated that I should cast on 100 instead of 92, and increase to 160 instead of the 140 called for. As far as I can tell, the repeat is 10 stitches, so I think the 160 should work fine.

June 9th
I’ve been adding a round of plain knit inbetween the butterfly-stitches, partly because the needle is smaller than reccomended, and I think the gauge might be a little off, but also to “anchor” the butterfly part of the stitch.
