Swatch: 6 rows = 1”, 18sts = 4” on 4.5mm/US7 in St st; on labeled gauge for yarn, amazing. Going down a needle size for hats.

Knit two repeats of the cable and eyelets pattern then repeated rows 28-30 once more before beginning crown decreases with Round 2 of decrease pattern. Hats measured 5.5” from CO at beginning of decrease rounds. Finished measurement is 7” from CO edge to top of crown.
