Notes
  • frogged. using the yarn to make a crochet scrap blanket for my son instead.

using 2 strands of (mostly) worsted weight yarn.

About the blanket: Both my grandmother & my husband’s grandmother passed away in 2009, & I was given their yarn. It sat waiting for a worthy project. Because the yarn I inherited is from 2 different grandmother’s collections, i needed a project that would both display the colors, & help them flow together. I know this pattern is for a scarf, but I have hacked it (slightly) for a twin size blanket for my son. I am using 2 strands instead of just 1 & sized down on the needles, to make it a very tight knit. (There are scraps of my own yarn in the blanket, as well.) I’m not able to work on it as much as I’d like right now, but I love the way it’s turning out.
