Started with Chained Cast On (p. 39, “Cast On, Bind Off” by Leslie Ann Bestor) using a 4.5 mm crochet hook with the 3.5 mm circular knitting needle … it’s very unobtrusive, blending nicely with the stitch pattern and also flexing beautifully with the scallops that the cast-on edge is starting to acquire from the pea vine patterning now that I’m several rows in. :-)
