Notes

My preference is for top-down socks, as I’m better at super-stretchy cast-ons than I am at equivalent bind-offs; am doing these because Jitterbug, lovely though it is, has a reputation for running short … I figure one pair of toe-ups will give me a length guideline for using this yarn in future top-down socks.

As usual, making a larger size to compensate for my tighter gauge (9 stitches per inch) … this combo gives me a perfect “medium.”

Construction notes: Used Judy's Magic Cast-on and Jeny's Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-off. Added two stitches to sock leg front in the last stockinette row to bring the total to 72 stitches so that I could finish with 2x2 ribbing.

Update: Finishing my second heel, having learned with #1 that it’s necessary to do the same hole-avoidance trick that I do when knitting this designer’s top-down socks … see the notes on the project page of my Temptation Top-Down Socks 1 for how-to details. And I must add: the fit of this heel is amazing … like a second skin!
