Finished my first fair isle project. The tension is ok, at least in parts. The triangular part that is knit back and forth looks the best.
BUT: this cowl is really tight, so I am afraid that I am not gonna wear ist. It could be a solution to try with steeking an add a button band as I have the perfect buttons going with the teal color. In september I’ll be in a steek class during Wollfest Hamburg, that might by an idea to use this a training object.

September 2016: Steeking worked well (thanks to my sewing machine), finished result is fine and much more comfortable

Mein ersten Fair Isle-Projekt ist fertig. Die Fadenspannung ist ok - zumindest in Teilen. Am besten sieht es in dem dreieckigen Teil aus, wo ich in Reihen hin und zurück gestrickt hab.
ABER: dieser Cowl sitzt sehr eng, so dass ich ihn vermutlich nicht tragen werden. Vielleich ist es eine Option zu steeken und eine Knopfleiste hinzuzufügen. Perfekte Knöpfe in petrol hab ich da und im September hab ich beim Wollfest den Steeking-Kurs gebucht. Mal sehen.

September 2016: Das Steeking hat (dank Nähmaschine) gut funktioniert und jetzt ist der Cowl viel angenehmer zu tragen als vorher.
