Errata: Stitch count on Chart C for the small size should read 76 sts rather than 80.

Purple Socks for Julie, a Capital University Mom whose daughter will graduate in 2020. :)

Toe Up, 2 Short Circs, 72 sts
Mini-Gusset, 8 sts each end of sole needle
Reduce st count to 76 sts at heel flap for sock leg

This, oh so pretty, dark purple yarn isn’t quite as difficult to knit with as black, but almost!! I do love the texture this st combination makes on the instep but keeping track of it with this dark yarn is challenging. I have discovered a removable stitch marker at the beginning of the instep needle helps me keep track of which round I’m actually on. I change its position after every 2nd round that begins with a purl st.

7 repeats of diamond pattern on sock leg.
Dec to 75 sts above Chart A
2X1 rib for cuff
