I love the way the fair isle patterns came out with this rainbow sock yarn as the background.

The heel was difficult (I think there’s a mistake in it) I eventually altered it slightly although I wish I had just made a regular heel flap heel. What I did was I followed the heel row directions until I had 9 sts rem ending with a Purl row (instead of a knit)
Then in the heel turning directions I started with Heel turning row #2, and did “SL 1, Knit until 1 st before the gap, SL stitch , pick up a loop from between the stitches and place it on the right needle, then knit those two stitches together.
and so on. MY HEEL puckers a little at the tip, UGH. luckily, i wear shoes

the toe shapng is like the top of a hat. it’s weird.

holy crap i finished the first sock and i started them yesterday!
