8-1-12: finish line - frogging trampoline

7-31-12: I just found out that there is a Ravellenic event for frogging! Guess I’ll enter this…..I’ve only frogged one sleeve so far, so I guess I’d better get to ripping.

7-27-12: not happy with the fit AT ALL. Frogging the entire thing. I will re-purpose the yarn and make Castellane instead..

7-23-12: working on the sleeves, two at a time. I only have one skein left so I am knitting the sleeves from both ends of the skein. I’m not sure if I will have enough to finish the top. I may need to go get one more skein….

7-22-12: sides are seemed!

7-21-12: I have joined the shoulders with the 3-needle bind off and am blocking so I can seam up the sides.

7-13-12: It seems my gauge is looser working the back. Rats - I hope this does not come out too big.

7-12-12: Still plugging away…I have about 30 rows left of the back before I begin the armhole shaping. i can see the finish line. This has been an enjoyable knit so far.

5-20-12: I decided to knit this per the instructions - back & front separate. I switched to the smaller needles, US 1 (2.25mm). I am using KnitCompanion for this project.

5-10-12: frogged the in-the-round knitting. I will start again in separate pieces once I complete the BSJ for my vet.

5-6-12: long tail cast on; will try knitting in the round
a) completed a small swatch; a little bigger than guage, but will go with US 1.5 needles (1.5mm) so that the sweater does not end up too clingy. I’m going for some positive ease.

1) started with 392 stitches; multiple of 8 (w/o the extra 6). I want the pattern to meet up nicely on the sides since I am knitting in the round. But - not sure how this will look with the decrease rounds.

2) completed first four garter stitch rounds. May need to frog. I am using 40” needles, and the stitches more then fit along the length of the needle, so this sweater is more than 40” around. Too big. I know with the honeycomb stitch it will pull in, so maybe I will continue on with the pattern rows and see how it goes before I frog.
